Applicants must be an Australian Citizen or have Permanent Resident Status and not be under bond to any foreign government. Applicants are to provide where appropriate, evidence of residential status. Applicants for this scholarship must be eligible to undertake a PhD program in a University or Research Institute in Sydney, NSW, Australia.



Applications for a PhD Scholarship commencing in 2012 researching HIV/AIDS are being called for by Australian Rotary Health. The value of this PhD Scholarship is $29,000 p.a for a maximum of 3 years. The funds will be provided through the Australian Rotary Health Funding Partner Program and the Rotary Club of Sydney CBD.

The award will be made for one year in the first instance but can be extended for a maximum of three and a half years (total) upon receipt of satisfactory annual progress reports. This PhD Scholarship will be known as “The Rotary Club of Sydney CBD HIV/AIDS PhD Scholarship”. Applicants must be eligible to undertake study at an appropriate University or Research Institute in Sydney, NSW, Australia.
