2011-12 Conservation and Scientific Research Fellowship USA

The Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Conservation and Scientific Research Fellowships provide training, hands-on treatment of works of art, and research opportunities for junior conservators and scientists in the field. The fellowships also support senior scholars carrying out independent research projects related to the Museum’s collections.

Scholarship Details:

The Metropolitan Museum of Art offers junior-level and senior-level fellowships in conservation and scientific research. Junior fellowships are intended for those who have recently completed graduate-level training. Senior fellowships are intended for well-established professionals with advanced training in the field and a proven publication record.

Fellowship Details:

All fellowships must take place between September 1, 2011, and August 31, 2012. Fellowships generally begin September 2011. Application, along with required letters of recommendation and supporting materials, must be made by letter and must be received by the deadline date of December 3, 2010. Electronically submitted applications and letters of recommendation are not accepted.
