PhD Scholarship in Powered Two-wheel Vehicles & Sustainable Transport at Australia-Monash University

The opportunities and challenges presented by powered-two-wheel (P2W) vehicles (power-assisted bicycles, mopeds, motor scooters and motor cycles) are to be examined in the context of sustainable transport. The PhD student will undertake research to develop deeper understanding of the travel behaviour of P2W users.

To provide data needed, a survey of existing P2W users will be undertaken which is likely to include collection of data using GPS. Research Field: Transport Application Method: Email to: Brenda okeefe@monash.edu

This scholarship is offered once only to one person. Open for applications from November 8, 2010 until December 10, 2010.
Payment Information

The value of this scholarship is AUD27770 (per annum). This award is to be used for research. This scholarship is paid fortnightly for the period of 3 years.
Research Information

This scholarship is for one of the following fields of research: Civil engineering. It is required that your study starts no earlier than February 2, 2011 and no later than June 1, 2011.
Eligibility

This scholarship is for study in Australia for those who have achieved Honours 1 or equivalent, or Honours 2a or equivalent. Only citizens of Australia or New Zealand or permanent residents can apply.
