-The appointees to the position of doctoral student must hold a Master’s degree and have an approved research proposal.
-The doctoral student positions target promising postgraduate students in the fields of theology and comparative religion.
-If the appointee has not yet been granted the right to pursue a postgraduate degree in the field of theology or comparative religion at any of the partner universities, he or she must receive the right to study before he or she can accept the position.
-In addition, applicants must have completed their Master’s degree within the past five years.



Eight Doctoral students for fixed terms ranging from one to four years, to begin on 1 January 2012. The applicants should clearly state the length of their possible terms. The board of the graduate school will decide on the duration of the term of each doctoral student separately. The overall funding granted to the doctoral student, which cannot exceed 4 years, will be taken into consideration in the selection process. The appointed doctoral students will be placed in research-related positions at their respective faculties, and will enter into an employment relationship with the university in question. In addition to completing their dissertation work, the doctoral students will contribute in a limited fashion to teaching and other activities, as determined by the Faculty.
