Eligibility:
-Excellent theoretical and practical understanding of computer networking
-Advanced understanding of information security principles and issues of computer crime
-Good publication record/ proven ability to publish your work at top-tier conferences and journals
-A doctorate-level qualification in the fields of information and communication security, computer networks or computer forensics



Based in the Systems Centre and the Cryptography Group working on a European Union funded project exploring the design and implementation of new approaches for detection of and response to Internet abuse. The focus is on the analysis of emerging threats and on understanding the risk environment, identifying opportunities for improvement of existing, or development of new, methods and tools for detection, response and investigation of network breaches and advanced software-based attacks. Includes interaction with law enforcement agencies and legal practitioners.
