Eligibility:
1-Hold a DPhil/PhD in Computational Fluid Dynamics preferably in general area of Turbomachinery.
2-Experience in substantial development and application of CFD preferably to turbomachinery aerodynamics and heat transfer problems.
3-Good publication record, commensurate with experience and opportunity
4-Interpersonal skills necessary to contribute effectively to a collaborative project.
5-Ability to communicate scientific ideas clearly to an expert audience, both orally and in writing
6-Evidence of high self-motivation and good organisational skills.
7-Experience and desire to contribute to the supervision of junior research staff and post graduate students. The successful applicant will also have an opportunity to participate in the teaching of undergraduates at St. Anne’s College.

Applications are invited for a full-time Research Fellowship in Turbomachinery at the Department of Engineering Science (Osney Laboratory, Oxford). The post is funded and in collaboration withMitsubishi Heavy Industries (MHI) and is fixed-term to 31 December 2013.
The Fellow will be responsible for the development and application of CFD to aerodynamics and heat transfer problems related to MHI gas and steam turbines. The post will be associated with St Anne’s College, where the Fellow will be a member of the Senior Common Room and will have an opportunity, should s/he wish, to participate inteaching /lecturing at St. Anne’s College (up to 4 hours a week), for which additional remuneration will be paid according to the colleges’ lecturing rates then in force.
