Fellowship for Senior Researchers in Cancer and Medical Research funded by Cancer Council Queensland in Australia 2012

Eligibility:
-Applicants must have (or expect to obtain) right of residence in Australia, be medically qualified or a graduate of a scientific or health science discipline, and intend to work in Queensland.
-A Queensland institution, qualified to hold research grants, must be willing to house the applicant and their research program for the duration of the fellowship, and the applicant must also have a sponsor, who will normally be the head of the department division or section of the academic institution in which the applicant wishes to work.
-Persons who are applicants for, or in receipt of, tobacco industry funding are not eligible to apply for, or receive funding from, Cancer Council Queensland. Staff of institutions receiving funding from the tobacco industry will also not be eligible to apply for, or receive funding from, Cancer Council Queensland.

Senior Research Fellowships are five-year, fixed term, non-renewable appointments that aim to help build the career of senior researchers with a clear commitment to cancer research. Applicants are invited from researchers actively engaged in research in cancer. Appointees to the fellowship would be expected to assist with the promotion in the community of Cancer Council Queensland research activities.

Undergraduate and Postgraduate Scholarship for International Students at University of Sydney in Australia 2012

-For Undergraduates-



-Applicants must have completed an Australian Year 12 qualification or an international senior secondary qualification accepted by the University with an Australian Tertiary Admissions Rank (ATAR) of at least 98* or equivalent.
-Students who have already commenced tertiary studies, or students transferring with credit exemptions and/or advanced standing are not eligible. Students completing Foundation Studies Programs are also not eligible.



-For Postgraduates-



-Applicants must have completed the equivalent of an Australian Bachelor degree qualification with a minimum high distinction average as based on the Australian grading system. Students who have already commenced postgraduate studies, or students transferring from other postgraduate programs are not eligible.



30 scholarships of AUD$10,000 each per annum, available for a maximum of three years, (total value AUD$30,000) for any Undergraduate program offered at the University of Sydney (subject to the recipient maintaining satisfactory academic progress each year. 30scholarships of AUD$10,000 each, available as a one-off award (total value AUD$10,000) for any Postgraduate Coursework program offered at the University of Sydney.
