Applicants who reside in the United States must meet one of the following requirements
-be a legal resident of the United States; have been granted permanent residency
-have a valid visa that does not prohibit educational studies
-have been granted temporary protected status along with approved Notice of Action issued by Citizen Immigration Services and verified through
-have been granted asylum along with the approved Notice of Action issued by the Citizen Immigration Services.
-Applicants must be a resident of Green Capital Alliance’s six county service areas: El Dorado, Placer, Sacramento, Sutter, Yolo and Yuba Counties.

University of Phoenix is pleased to partner with Green Capital Alliance (GCA) to offer a scholarship program. Green Capital Alliance is a partnership of people and organizations working to support the Sacramento Region’s clean energy technology economy, promote regional sustainability, and grow green jobs. GCA is supported by a steering committee that includes a range of business, academic, community development and clean tech organizations in the region who collaborate their individual projects and efforts. Green Capital Alliance’s focus areas include: Clean Technology Research, Workforce Development, Business Development, Entrepreneur and Startup Support, Regional Sustainability, State & Federal Advocacy, and Tracking Progress. Through the partnership between Green Capital Alliance and University of Phoenix, the scholarship recipient will have access to a network of professionals committed to promoting sustainability and growing the region’s clean technology industry cluster.
