Eligibility:
-Applicants should have at least five years of full-time working experience as journalists (not including as student journalists) and possess potential for leadership and management within the profession or organisation.
-Applicants should be residing in Asia.
-Preference is given to those working for Asian media organisations.
-Applicants can be working in any medium — print, radio, television or online. Journalists working in non-English media are welcome to apply, but must show proficiency in English through a telephone interview, as English is the working language of the programme.
-Applications from journalists in full-time positions must be accompanied by a letter of support from employers, stating that the applicant would be released for the full period of the fellowship, from 25 February to 20 May 2012.
-Freelancers are welcome to apply if they are primarily engaged in news or current affairs journalism.

Wee Kim Wee School of Communication and Information is one of the leading schools of its kind in Asia. It has an enrollment of around 1,000 undergraduate and postgraduate students in fields such as journalism, public relations and knowledge management. Its more than 40 full-time faculty are engaged in diverse research, ranging from media law and censorship, public opinion and health communication, to video game culture and Asian film.

A STAR Undergraduate Scholarship, Singapore

Scholarship2011 for Undergraduate studies in the field of Science and Technology at the National University of Singapore, the Nanyang Technological University and the Singapore University of Technology and Design,
Study Subject: Science or engineering

Level: Undergraduate
AUS supports bright individuals with a keen interest in research for a Bachelor’s degree in science or engineering at the National University of Singapore, the Nanyang Technological University and the Singapore University of Technology and Design. Upon graduation, scholars have the flexibility to pursue their PhD studies locally or abroad on A*STAR or other university scholarships. Scholars can look forward to research attachments at A*STAR’s Research Institutes with state-of-the-art facilities and be part of A*STAR’s community of diverse and renowned scientists and researchers.
Eligibility
(i) Entry point with ‘A’ Levels/ IB/ NUSHS Diploma:
For candidates on GCE ‘A’ Level syllabus
* Candidates must offer 11 units or more
* Attained As in three H2 Science or Mathematics subjects
* Preferably a merit in one H3 Science or Mathematics subject
For candidates on International Baccalaureate (IB) syllabus
* Obtained at least 39 points including 6,7,7 in higher level for Science and Mathematics subjects(exception will be made if candidate took Further Mathematics)
* Attained at least 1 bonus point for Extended Essay and Theory of Knowledge
For candidates from NUS High School of Mathematics and Science
* Attained subject CAP of 3.60 and above, majoring in at least 3 of the following subjects:
o Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and Biology (one of which must be with Honours)
* Graded at least merit for their final year research project.
(ii) Entry point at Year 2, 3, 4 at NUS/NTU
* Incumbent students at NUS/NTU will apply for AUS through their respective universities.
* Candidates should obtain a minimum CAP score/ cum GPA of 4.5 for the academic year in which they apply.

A STAR National Science Scholarships (BS) for Undergraduate Studies, Singapore

The NSS (BS) funds undergraduate studies at top overseas universities in Biomedical Sciences, Physical Sciences and Engineering disciplines

The scholarship providesopportunities to work in some of the world’s best research institutes (RIs) and learn from
the best scientific talents in a stimulating and nurturing environment. Upon successful completion of undergraduate studies and a one-year research attachment in A*STAR RIs, scholars will be further supported for PhD studies.
Eligibility
• Singapore citizens or permanent residents intending to take up citizenship
• Excellent results for GCE ‘A’ Level (minimum 11 academic units), International Baccalaureate (IB), NUS High School diploma or equivalent
• Candidates are expected to sit for SATs prior to, or during the course of their application, and score as follows:
- SAT I – 2100 minimum
- SAT II – 1400 minimum
• Preference will be given to candidates with experience and notable achievements in science- or math-related projects and activities
