NICTA Postgraduate Scholarships
Scholarship Description
NICTA (National ICT Australia) provides a range of scholarships to support postgraduate ICT research primarily within the Schools of Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) and Electrical Engineering and Telecommunications (EET) at UNSW. NICTA scholarships may supplement Australian Government, university, international or NICTA-sponsored primary scholarships; alternatively, they may be awarded as independent NICTA-sponsored scholarships. To receive a scholarship, recipients must accept the conditions of award established by UNSW. One of these conditions requires recipients to apply for any government or university scholarships they are eligible for at the earliest opportunity. Eligibility NICTA scholarships are available to local and international students who are: * Eligible for admission to UNSW as research candidates within CSE or EET, or within a school or department that offers ICT research programs linked with CSE or EET * Supervised by a university-appointed

Availability
This scholarship is offered bi-annually to an unspecified number of people. Open for applications from February 2, 2011 until March 25, 2011.
Payment Information
The value of this scholarship is AUD30050 (maximum per annum). This award is to be used for living expenses, fees and miscellaneous purposes. This scholarship is paid fortnightly for the period of 3 years.
Research Information
This scholarship is for one of the following fields of research: Communications technologies, Computer hardware, Electrical and electronic engineering or ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY.
Eligibility
This scholarship is for study in Australia for those who have achieved Honours 1 or equivalent, or Honours 2a or equivalent. There are no restrictions on citizenship.
