Scholarship Description

The Department of Justice (DOJ) is offering tertiary scholarships (for the 2011-12 academic years) for students from refugee backgrounds undertaking Justice related tertiary study. The scholarships are intended for students undertaking justice-related study at tertiary institutions in Victoria at the levels of diploma or advanced diploma, bachelor or post-graduate. DOJ will provide a major scholarship ($10,000 pa for 2 years) to one successful student and minor scholarships ($5,000 pa for 2 years) to a further three successful students.

Payment Information

The value of this scholarship is AUD5000 (maximum per annum). This award is to be used for living expenses and fees. This scholarship is paid See Scheme Summary for the period of 2 years.

This scholarship is for one of the following fields of research: LAW, JUSTICE AND LAW ENFORCEMENT, POLICY AND POLITICAL SCIENCE, Psychology, SOCIAL SCIENCES, HUMANITIES AND ARTS - GENERAL or Sociology.

Eligibility

This scholarship is for study in Australia. To apply you must be a Refugee or child of refugee in Australia.
