Scholarship Description

Funding of up to AUD 850,000 per annum for five years is available to attract and retain researchers to Queensland who are international leaders in their field. Successful applicants will be at the forefront of research, development and innovation. The award is designed to bring to Queensland excellent senior clinicians presently interstate or abroad, to provide new clinical and intellectual resources that will markedly enhance Queensland's clinical standing and future research potential. Queensland clinician researchers with a vision for major expansion and promotion of innovative health and medical research translation are also encouraged to apply.

The value of this scholarship is AUD850000 (maximum per annum). This award is to be used for research. This scholarship is paid annually.

Research Information

This scholarship is for one of the following fields of research: Clinical sciences, Dentistry, Immunology, Medical biochemistry and clinical chemistry, Medical microbiology, Medical physiology, Medicine - general, Neurosciences, Nursing, Optometry, Pharmacology and pharmaceutical sciences, Psychology or Public health and health services. It is required that your study starts no earlier than December 1, 2011.

This scholarship is for study in Australia. There are no restrictions on citizenship.
