Von Karman Institute invites Research Position in the Department of Environmental and Applied Fluid Dynamics for the citizens of NATO country in Belgium
Eligibility:
-Candidates with strong experimental background in optical techniques applied to single and multiphase flows are especially encouraged to apply.
-Applicants must have an earned doctorate in Mechanical Engineering or on subject relevant to multiphase flows.
-Prior experience in the management of research contract (including European Union funded research programs) is a strong asset.
-Rank, tenure status, and salary will be commensurate with experience and accomplishments.
-Candidates should be citizen of a NATO country and have a working knowledge of English.
Scholarship Open for International Students: Yes
The candidate is expected to teach courses on these topics and supervise students in the VKI Research Masters program. He/she will have the leadership, vision and motivation to become the head of a strong optical measurement technique research unit composed of research engineers and PhD researchers, and collaborating in an interdisciplinary way with the other research groups in aeronautics, turbomachinery and propulsion, applied fluid dynamics and computational fluid dynamics. To reach these objectives the candidate is expected to actively participate in seeking, managing and performing fundedresearch programs in the context of an international environment.
