PhD Position in Isotope Geochemistry at the University of Wollongong and University of Strasbourg

There is currently 1 co-tutelle PhD scholarship available between the University of Wollongong and the Université de Strasbourg in the field of isotope geochemistry applied to Quaternary science, paleo-climatology and fluvial processes. During the project, the student will spend time at the University of Wollongong in Australia (working with Dr Anthony Dosseto) and at the Université de Strasbourg in France (working with Prof François Chabaux). The scholarship covers tuition fees and living allowance for the duration of the project (3 years). The project will use uranium-series isotopes to reconstruct past variations in erosion and sediment transport from the Himalayas in and through the floodplain of the Ganges River in India. It will involve extensive lab work and possible field work in India.
