UC Emerging Leaders' Scholarships 2011 
Description

These scholarships were established to recognise not only academic achievement, but potential leadership and sporting/cultural involvement amongst those top students attending the University of Canterbury. The Emerging Leaders Scholarship provides $5000 towards tuition fees and a leadership programme valued at $4000. There are over 100 UC Emerging Leader Scholarships now on offer for 2012 - see the categories listed below for more details.

Eligibility

Applicants may be considered under more than one category, but will not be eligible to hold more than one UC Emerging Leaders' Scholarship.
Category A: All-Round Excellence Awards - At least 41 scholarships
Category B: Head Boy or Head Girl Awards - Up to 40 scholarships
Category C: Maori and Pasifika Awards - At least 2 scholarships
Category D: Awards for Specified Programmes - 5 scholarships
Category E: Sports Awards - At least 10 scholarships
Category F: School Specific - 7 scholarships Amount $5,000
Tenure 1 year
Closing Dates 01 Sep 2011
