PhD Scholarship in Multivariate analysis of multilevel processes in dairy herds with automated milking systems at University of Copenhagen, Denmark
The position is available for a 3-year period for applicants holding a relevant master´s degree or for a 4-year period for applicants who are already enrolled or are accepted to be enrolled at one of the Faculty´s master´s programmes. At the time of commencement, applicants for the 4-year period must have approximately one year of study remaining before graduating from their MSc programme.
Department of Large Animal Sciences, Faculty of Life Sciences at University of Copenhagen is offering a PhD scholarship commencing October 1st, 2011 or soon thereafter. The application deadline is September 1st, 2011. The aim of the project is to assess the usefulness (added value) of new and existing data collected in automatic milking systems (AMS) as decision support tool in herd health management, e.g. for early detection of disease and monitoring of herd health. The candidate will do clinical examinations and data collection in dairy herds and collaborate with the local veterinarians.
