The position requires a doctoral degree and relevant research and teaching experience. The candidate must have a background and interest in computing and architecture, but the background can be wider to include degree(s) in architecture, engineering, computer sciences, applied mathematics. The position also requires good language and communications skills, and it is also considered a merit to have an international network.

The Department of Architecture at Chalmers has a strong sustainability profile and works on crucial social issues with an openly exploratory and practice-based approach within four areas: Building Design, Space and Process, Urban Design and Planning, Architectural Conservation and Transformation. The department is now taking the next step in developing architecture and urban planning of the highest artistic and scientific quality. The Department has roughly 60 employees. We are situated on campus Johanneberg. We now announce a full time post doc position in Parametric Design for the academic year 2011-2012.
